The Colborne Art Gallery is hosting Workshops!
Find Your Creative Self
with
Judith Kreps Hawkins
With an emphasis on fun and mindfully going with your personal flow, we will follow some exercises designed to help us undo the so-called artists’ block, rediscover our childlike creative nature, and let go of those nagging, negative voices.
The session will be focused on relaxed experimentation with non-traditional art materials to create a very personal piece. The emphasis will be on trying something different.
The class will be informal, relaxed, with no expectations except to have discovered something new of your own true creative self.
Space is limited to 12 participants, a minimum of 8 is required for the workshop to run.

EARLY SPRING WORKSHOP
LEARN LINOCUT
MARCH 12, 2025
CAG is pleased to present our first of a series of workshops for the 2025 season. Treat yourself to a new or progressive learning experience in linocut block printing.
Susan Munderich, the Juror’s Choice recipient of CAG’s 2024 juried show with her block print, “Jumping Mouse”, will be the instructor for the afternoon workshop. She explains:
“Linocut is a type of relief printing that involves carving away the negative areas in a design, applying ink to the raised areas of the block, and burnishing paper placed over the block to pull a print. It can also be called block printing.”
Susan is both an accomplished artist in printmaking and a public school teacher who enjoys using her teaching skills to detail her printmaking process. Be prepared for Susan’s enthusiasm and your own personal accomplishment!
