COLBORNE — Elizabeth Hutchinson is showing her work in a show titled Daily Practices at the Colborne Art Gallery. The show opens March 8.

HutchinsonDaily Practice, a feature show of Ms. Hutchinson’s work, opens at the Colborne Art Gallery March 8. The subjects are mostly quiet, domestic still life scenes, some lively studies of birds, and also watercolour sketches, said Annie McDonald, who recently visited Ms. Hutchinson’s studio in Prince Edward County.

Ms. Hutchinson studied at Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, and later at the University of Guelph. She completed her master’s degree in New York City at the New York Academy of Art, and continued study at the New York Studio School and at the Art Students League.

The exhibit opens March 8 with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Colborne Art Gallery, 51 King St. E., Colborne. There will also be a small show titled Thaw with works by gallery artists.
