The Colborne Art Gallery is pleased to announce a call for entries for the Second Annual Northumberland Youth Art Exhibition. All Northumberland youth in grades 6, 7, and 8 are invited to submit one original piece of art work to the show. All entries will be shown and there is no juried process. Entries will be accepted until 19 May 2017 at 4 pm.
As of Oct. 13, history will once again occupy the Heritage Room in The Colborne Art Gallery. Heritage Cramahe, a Committee of Council, is planning to mount four exhibits per year, with committee member Barrie Wood acting as de facto curator. Heritage Cramahe will re-open with Northumberland Went to War, on October 13 and run until December 11.

Dorothy Siemens’ exhibition, “Passion and Petals” will feature new works from her two series, Appassionato and Softly Floral. Two foundations of romantic love are explored in these paintings, the passionate and the sentimental.

This spring The Colborne Art Gallery hosts three guest ceramists: Lindsay Anderson, Brenda Sullivan and Susan McDonald. Each of these artists has devoted a number of years to the compelling pursuit of their next experiment, whether of a surface, a texture or an effect.
