The member artists of The Colborne Art Gallery invite you to participate in our third annual juried exhibition, showcasing emerging and established artists. The Gallery provides a uniquely light-filled space in a wonderful historic building where your artwork will be seen by our loyal following of friends and patrons.
The Colborne Art Gallery is pleased to present Faces of Northumberland, a solo exhibition by guest artist Oliver Steins, at the Colborne Art Gallery May 30th through July 5th, 2015. The opening reception with artist present will be held on Saturday, May 30 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.

Submissions from all visual art forms are welcome, including painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, printmaking, sculpture, fibre, glass, fine jewelry, ceramics, metal and woodwork.
The Colborne Art Gallery is pleased to present Talking to Myself: Going Beyond, an exhibition of new work by Colborne Art Gallery Member Susan McDonald, at the Colborne Art Gallery, April 18th through May 24th, 2015. The opening reception with artist present will be held on Saturday, April 18 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. There will be additional talks by the artist on Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th.
The Colborne Art Gallery was the scene of a creative Family Day event on Monday, February 16th. Jillian Roos-Markowitz hosted an art workshop demonstrating the art of Lino Block Printing. Participants attending made their own Lino cut printing blocks to create abstract designs. The blocks are carved with tools then inked with a roller, flipped ink side down and transferred to paper. Water-based printing inks in glorious colours were used to print the designs. The technique works on printing paper as well as fabric. Artist from the community came out to explore their creativity.

On Saturday, February 14, gallery members, working in a variety of media, will demonstrate their art processes and techniques and be on hand to answer your questions. And for the icing on the cake, we’ll be serving cake, coffee and hot chocolate at 2:00 pm. Mayor Marc Coombs will be cutting the cake, so don’t miss it!
