lunch by Elizabeth Hutchinson-smallThe Colborne Art Gallery is pleased to present Daily Practice, a solo exhibition by Guest Artist Elizabeth Hutchinson.

"Daily Practice" is an exhibition of drawings and watercolors that come out of a daily practice of drawing, usually on the spot, wherever Elizabeth goes. The oils are small, intimate still life paintings. Many are painted directly from objects on the kitchen table, often arranged by chance. They are intimate view of an artist's home and life. "The things I paint and draw are a kind of diary, showing where I’ve traveled and what I am seeing and how I am thinking. This work in the exhibition is the physical evidence of the internal work I am doing: winnowing away extraneous effort while zeroing in on what is essential.” – Elizabeth Hutchinson
