Leila Timmins is a writer and curator with a bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of British Columbia, and a Master’s degree in Art History from the University of Toronto with a focus on contemporary Canadian photography. Currently the curator & manager of Exhibitions and Collections at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa, Leila has also held positions at Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography, Workman Arts, Gallery TPW, The Justina M Barnicke Gallery, The Images Festival and The Helen & Morris Belken Gallery. Leila also sits on the Board of Directors of DACHI, the Education & Community Engagement Commitee at the AGO as well as being the founding member of EMILIA-AMILIA.

Call for Submissions

Members of The Colborne Art Gallery invite you to participate in our Seventh Annual Juried Exhibition, open to all emerging and established artists (with the exception of Colborne Art Gallery members). The Gallery provides a uniquely light filed space in a wonderful historic building where your artwork will be viewed by our loyal patrons and friends.

How to Apply

Conditions of application:

All visual art forms will be considered: painting, drawing, mixed media photography, printmaking, sculpture, fibre, glass, fine jewelry, ceramics, metal, woodwork and digital media. Work must be original. It will not be considered if made from patterns, kits or done in a class or workshop.

Application Process:

Submissions must be emailed to bmcguey@sympatico.ca by Tues. April 2, 2019 - titled JURIED SHOW SUBMISSION.

Images will be sent to our Juror after April 2nd.

Payment

Payment must be made via the purple form provided below. Late payment will result in your submission not being considered. Please note: Your submission fee of $20 for each artwork entered is non-refundable.

While PayPal is our payment gateway, it is not necessary to have a PayPal account to complete your transaction. In the purple box below, select one of the three options by clicking Add to Cart. The page will refresh and you will be given a chance to review your selection. When you are ready, click CHECKOUT. This will take you to our payment gateway, where you may log into your PayPal account if you have one or select Pay with a credit or Visa Debit card. (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover Cards Accepted). Payments must be made by April 2, 2019 in order for your work to be presented to the Juror.
