So you can’t make it to Tuscany this year? Close your eyes and just imagine it: lines of cypress trees and olive groves, walls of stone splendidly lit with the hot Italian sun. A villa complete with broad terrace, feasts of local delicacies and wine? Why not visit the Colborne Art Gallery this summer to see what came of the time six Toronto women shared together in Italy four years ago.
They are: Susan Dain, Phyllis Gordon, Marcia Lantagne, Rena Sava, Patricia Singer and Karen Walker, fast friends who, after years of holding Tuesday life drawing sessions, jumped at the opportunity Patricia Singer posed; they should share a villa she knew about in Romito, Italy for a three week period of drawing, painting and breathing the Tuscan air.
The show called “Tuscany Revisited” is not to be missed! All are welcome to attend the opening reception to meet the artists and also enjoy a selection of new works by the members of The Colborne Art Gallery.
